DescriptionCaribbean 50' Center Cockpit Ketch designed by Herreshoff and built by David Cheng in Hong Kong in 1978. Powered by Perkins 6-354 fresh water cooled 110hp diesel with oil filtration system, carrying 259 gallons of fuel. Masts & booms are built by Sparcraft in Australia with new standing rigging in 2000. Marine electronics include Furuno radar & GPS, Interphase forward looking sonar, Ham & SSB radio, autopilot and more. There is a dodger, electric windlass, solar panels, porto-bote w/outboard and many spares. Cruise veteran. Engine
ElectricalThere is one 4D heavy duty start battery in covered secure box and six 6 volt batteries for house power. Two Siemans 100 watt solar panels with charge regulator, wind trolling generator, battery amp hour in/out meter. 12 volt circuir breaker panel to control all major circuits. Several direct wired circuits to battery for critical service (bilge pump), all circuit breaker or fuse protected.
